okay, so it may be the ultimate nerdiness...but this sounds amazing!
Tamora Pierce (beloved author of many fantasy books and apparently host to this website about female heroes sheroescentral.com) is going to be there! also a bunch of webcomic artists, including the author/artist of xkcd (a nerdy comic amy showed me). They are all into scifi and open source. OPEN SOURCE! all lovers of linux...and only in troy. i want to go so bad!!
ooo, they also have giant singing tesla coils. y'know, like in the Prestige, but revamped. (See below)
it looks so amazing. If anyone has interest, look at the website penguicon.org. Oh, and talk to me, it is in a week, so if anyone wants to go, we have a week to figure it out. I think we would have to go on Sunday, so it is only $10...if it is possible to go at all...

That sucks that we aren't going now, that Tesla Coil thing was pretty awesome. Though it would've been cooler of Scarlett was there.
